The benefits of training in the sand are many, in addition to being in a natural environment and in full contact with nature, the irregular surface of the sand makes many more muscles work with greater effort, which increases caloric expenditure, making more effects of the training. You can achieve almost up to 200% more work than any other flat surface workout. And, best of all, this increase in effort is accompanied by a lower probability of injury. The cushioning of the sand causes the joints to suffer less and more muscles to work than usual, especially the lower body, which allows us to work in a very safe way. Some studies estimate the risk of injury from training on asphalt or hard surfaces to be almost 90%.
